This blog is primarily focused around my writings on cybersecurity, tech, and other related topics in that general sphere. I’m primarily interested in and very passionate about hacking / offensive security (depending on how ‘formal’ you want to be about it) so that’s what the majority of this blog will be concerned with. That includes various writeups of CTF challenges I’ve done through HackTheBox & other hacking platforms, my own independent security research, general industry musings, and other things in that vein.
I’m still very much a newcomer in the field, so if I ever say anything egregiously wrong or otherwise have a foot-in-mouth moment, that’s probably why. :) I currently hold the CompTIA Security+ and Pentest+ certifications, and I’m currently studying for the OSCP. At the moment, I have a specific interest in hacking Active Directory and Windows security in general, though I want to branch out and learn as many various security niches as possible.
I’m a fan of prog rock, math rock, and any other form of out-there musical compositions!
I’m also a fan of tabletop RPGs! If you’re looking for a new system to try out, do yourself a favor and pick up Double Cross, which is a personal favorite that is sadly relatively obscure in the West (though incredibly popular in Japan!)
I can usually be identified most places on the internet by my various profile pictures of Proto Man (pictured above) as seen in Mega Man Megamix & Gigamix by Hitoshi Ariga. There’s not any particularly strong reason for it, I just think he’s neat :)
